Kimberlite Detour - Copy

🚧ROAD CLOSED🚧
The entrance to City Park on Hwy 6 will be under construction for the next 2½ months beginning Monday, April 15th. The posted detour will take traffic to Stephans Street and enter the park from the west, off of Kimberlite Street. Traffic will have to exit the park from the same direction, to the west on Kimberlite Street.

Maintenance Worker – Public Works

Maintenance Worker – Public Works. City of Tiffin, IA (pop. 5,800). Position performs a variety of skilled labor tasks of street, park ground maintenance and water and sewer system maintenance. Performs snow removal duties, cement and asphalt patching and minor construction projects. Operates light construction equipment and power construction tools. Under the supervision of the Public Works Director. High School diploma required. Knowledge and ability to use common hand and power tools, common construction materials and equipment and perform heavy outside work. Also must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions. A valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record is required. Possession of CDL license a plus or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of hiring. Pre-employment drug screening required. Position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Starting wage of $22.88 per hour, plus benefits package. Library Director

Library Director.  City of Tiffin, IA (pop. 5,800). This position directs the library services of the Springmier Library, activities, and operations including the formation and implementation of policies and long-range goals and objectives. Will have the responsibility and authority for organizing and managing the library operation and for planning, directing and coordinating its programs of service to the community. The Springmier Library shares space in the Clear Creek Amana Middle School of which the City and School have a 28E Agreement. Position requires the ability to handle complex administrative, supervisory, and professional duties requiring adherence to professional standards of accuracy, confidentiality, integrity and tact. The Library Director will report directly to the Library Board of Trustees and will have a working relationship with the City Administrator, Department Heads, and City employees. This position requires a standard work week of 40 hours and participation in various meetings and work-related functions outside the standard work week. Graduation from high school or GED required.  Completion of Director Endorsement coursework required within 2 years of hire date. Salary: $55,000 plus benefits package.
